I remember the day my lecturer asked my classmates and I to create a blog and update it regularly clrear as day; the sweet task of writing freely about your emotions and concerns became the excruciating homework in our procrastinator eyes, and I personally neglected it. Now as the long-awaited last day before the exams arrives, I have started finding the hard tasks to be the most amazing. Precisely speaking, anything qualifies as long as they have the ability to distract yours truly from the guilt of procrastinating, and writing in my blog has proven one of the most effective ways to serve this purpose.

Exams have always been Sauron's ring to us students, uniting everyone from every race and place and religion to bring down this orange-eyed beast; the problem though, is that right when we think we are ready and prepared to study and beat it, we get carried away by the temptations and days later we find ourselves in the depths of mount Doom, burning like Gullom instead of singing Aragorn's victory song in Elvish. The problem is one which every human being with a dangerously large superego has to deal with: procrastination. I as the queen of the said bunch prefer to avoid doing something and overthink instead of just getting it over with, which explains why I am updating my blog at 1 am while downloading John Wick 2 and reciting all of Chandler's dialogues from season 3 of Friends.

I would say this is what Japanese businessmen are doing; perhaps assigning a task such as 8 hours of sleep to everyone would make it irresistable to neglect sleep and pull all nighters to do anything including work but sleep (which happens to be my default setting by the way), and that's why they are so successful. Who knows, maybe one day reading Harry Potter would become a part of our curriculum, and that shall be the day I finally stop reading it. (Note to my lecturer: please don't do that!)
